About Ella Nolte

Ella Nolte was born in New York City but grew up in the LA area. She comes from a textbook musical family. Her mother is a professional jazz pianist and singer, and not only do her and her 3 brothers all sing, they are also all named after famous jazz musicians. Her parents even met auditioning for a choir at BYU! Like her mom, Ella also plays jazz piano, but loves all kinds of music and is studying Music Education at BYU with hopes to become a choir director. She is a firm believer in the power of music to change a person's mood, day, and even their life! Ella worked for BYU radio for a year before serving a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Utah Orem Mission speaking Spanish. She is so happy to be a part of the BYU Broadcasting team again and loves her job at Classical 89. When she's not working or in class she can often be found playing sports, enjoying nature, or spending time with friends and family.
